Candle Care Guide

Caring for your candle ensures a longer, cleaner burn and the best fragrance experience. Follow these simple steps to enjoy every Starscent candle to its fullest potential.

1. THE FIRST BURN MATTERS

Allow your candle to burn long enough for the melted wax to reach the edges of the vessel during the first use. This usually takes 2–3 hours depending on candle size.

This step prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of your candle.

2. TRIM YOUR WICK

Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 5mm. This helps maintain a steady flame, reduces soot, and prevents excessive smoke.

Keeping your wick trimmed also improves burn time and protects the candle vessel.

3. BURN TIME GUIDELINES

For best performance, burn your candle for no more than 3–4 hours at a time.

Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting. This helps preserve the fragrance quality and prevents overheating.

4. SAFETY TIPS

Always burn candles on a heat-resistant surface and away from drafts, children, and pets.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Discontinue use when approximately 10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

5. STORAGE & CARE

Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This helps maintain fragrance strength and prevents discolouration of the wax.

Replace the lid when not in use to protect your candle from dust and debris.
